Dark, Sneaky Spots

Thirdly, they are sneaky, mold can grow anywhere, and mostly in dark places where we cannot see them.

Hidden Mold Growth

Mold only becomes visible at approximately 27,000 spores, you can have a mold infection in your house and not know it.

Why do we need a mold inspection or assessment?

Mold Inspections

Invisible but Present

Mold spores are microscopically small, we cannot see them with the naked eye, we do not know they are there or have they infected our house. But we can smell them.

Hidden Mold Growth

Mold only becomes visible at approximately 27,000 spores, you can have a mold infection in your house and not know it.

Health Risk Alert

The other and most important reason is health. Mold is affecting our health or creating a health concern. When mold spores are present in large quantities (overabundance), they are a health hazard or concern to humans.

Our comprehensive assessment services are designed to determine if your building is habitable and to address any mold-related issues effectively. Our assessment reports include detailed findings from our experienced assessors, insights into the causes of mold growth, and protocols to remedy the mold infection.

To accurately quantify the mold overabundance in your building, we utilize only industrially approved mold air samples. These samples provide crucial information about indoor air quality and help determine the habitability of the space. Our sampling methodologies adhere to strict standards developed by the Department of Microbiology, ensuring high-quality assessments.

Our lead assessor, Phillip Friggens, is extensively trained and certified as a Mold Inspector and Mold Remediator by the Professional Mold Inspection Institute (PMII) in the United States. Additionally, he is a professional member of the National Association of Mold Remediators and Inspectors (NAMRI-USA), ensuring his expertise in mold assessment.

For mold air sampling, we employ cutting-edge techniques to identify the Genus and Species of the mold present in your environment. With over 500,000 mold species, each affecting human health differently, identifying the prominent mold genus assists medical professionals in making better-informed diagnoses for a speedy recovery.

Our services also encompass testing for harmful molds using the HERTSMI-2 test, which focuses on five toxic mold species known to impact health negatively. This test involves collecting air samples from various areas of the building, which are then analyzed in a laboratory using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology. The PCR technique allows us to detect and quantify the DNA of the specific mold species targeted in the HERTSMI-2 test. This information helps assess the mold contamination level and potential health risks associated with indoor air quality.

In addition, we offer the ERMI test, an essential tool for checking the mold levels in your building. By collecting dust samples from different parts of your home and analyzing them, we calculate the ERMI score to determine the mold presence. A low ERMI score indicates a healthier environment, while a high score suggests potential mold issues that require remediation.

We also offer the ERMI Plus Endotoxin (LAL) test, which detects and quantifies endotoxins found in certain bacteria. This test is vital in ensuring that your environment is free from harmful levels of endotoxin contamination, especially in industries such as pharmaceuticals and medical device manufacturing.

Our mission is to create a healthier living and working space for you by detecting and addressing mold and endotoxin contamination effectively. With our specialized testing methods and experienced professionals, you can trust us to safeguard your indoor air quality and overall well-being..
